The best of Bordeaux

Through one of Dave’s professors, we had an opportunity to visit Chateau Margaux on Thursday, which was truly a treat for us. Even better, they offered our group a tasting of their wines. As one might imagine, they lived up to their reputation, especially the Margaux (a Premier Grand Cru)— certainly something we would have not ever gotten a chance to try had it not been for the visit!

I would write more, but we’ve arrived in Nantes for our week-long whirlwind trip around France before we meet up with Dave’s parents in Nice next Sunday….which translates to more blogging (and yes Mom, photos with us in them) so I didn’t want to get too far behind.

However, thanks to Chateau Margaux for hosting us; we’re so very glad to have had an opportunity to visit such a place. Now enjoy these photos…
