I’ve always thought that being referred to a friend is the best compliment that I can receive from a client, but it really rivals a client returning with more business!
Such was the case with Dara Dyer, whose commercial photography identity I designed last year. For this project, Dara needed a new brand identity for her lifestyle photography work, Dara’s Digitals, which focused primarily on weddings and family/children portraits. Dara was looking for a new identity that was classic and clean, but she knew she wanted something that incorporated flourishes and curves. One of her initial requests was a bright logo with the possibility of a signature color. This conjured up images of bright fuchsia, orange and possible options for signature colors, but ultimately, Dara was drawn to the bright purple, paired with a soft ice-like blue. She and I exchanged emails back and forth until the identity was just right, yielding the final product. Now she has a clean look with a touch of sophisticated whimsy for all her lifestyle business!
