Weekends are glorious

This was a little something my personal chef whipped up for our dinner Friday night:

Seared scallops in herb butter on a white-rimmed plate with a glass of white wine and a decorative tray centerpiece behind
scallops with cilantro gremolata and ginger lime beurre blanc

On Saturday, we drove out to Sausalito and ate a late lunch at Fish, which was similar to Gott’s for anyone who has dined there before, only (obviously) they serve items from the sea, instead of burgers and whatnot. I had the tuna melt, which was only outdone by Dave’s crab roll.

We walked around Sausalito, looking at shops and I convinced Dave to basically undo our workouts (we’ve been trying to be better about going to the gym) and we treated ourselves to ice cream. I had pistachio and he had kona coffee, which was coffee mixed with macadamia nuts and coconut. It was delicious.

Today, we sat outside by the pool, which was lovely on this 90+ degree day. I may have gotten pink racing stripes on the front and back of my legs. Awesome. We grabbed a bite at the pool (thanks Dad) and my burger was fantastic. We plan on ending our evening with a heirloom tomato salad with tomatoes from a local farmstand and a watermelon that is currently being chilled.

Weekends rule.
