I took Tuesday and Wednesday off of work this week. Mostly because it’s the week between Christmas and New Years and not many people are looking to throw a big bash at a winery. If they are anything like me, they are recuperating from an insanely busy holiday/gearing up for 2011. But I also took the days off because I knew Monday and Tuesday would be late nights and I am a big fan of sleep so I took the subsequent days off to get some. Monday night we picked up G2‘s mom from the airport and welcomed her home with a trip to the casino. I also welcomed $200 to my pocket at the blackjack table.
We got home ridiculously late, bordering on Mardi Gras status, and I caught a few hours of sleep before I threw another holiday bash. This time with my besties from high school. We haven’t all been together since… New Year’s Eve 2002? L-Boogie, correct me if I’m wrong. It’s been a while.
It was a solid night of catching up and reminiscing and I don’t think we missed a beat, did we ladies?
